Mellow Circle, founded in August 2000, is a registered society, whose members are bonded together with a desire to contribute meaningfully to the society. In the initial years, our income was donated to various charities in and around Chennai.

From 2003 onwards we have focused on an area which tends to get swept under the carpet but in reality warrants immediate attention- HIV Affected Children.

PRATHYASHA - Our Home Of Hope for HIV Affected Children, provides fresh hope and a new lease of life to 21 children between 6 and 16 years, where we look after their complete needs, including education and medication.

Running this home is a major challenge to us, and with support from friends, well-wishers, and the general public, we are able to meet the running cost of the home. The major source of funding comes from our Magic of Music Shows in July / August and our Annual Play / Musical, which is staged during the last weekend of November.

Mellow Circle is now 18 years old. During this period, we have staged 17 Christmas Musicals and 7 Magic of Music shows. We have over 100 members, who contribute in their own way to keep Mellow Circle moving forward.

Mellow Circle is managed by a Governing Council which is elected each year.
